Hyped as "New Zealand's fourth most popular folk-parody duo", The Flight of the Conchords have landed a show on HBO, and so far, I think it is pretty good. I am a bit surprised by this for reasons I will let you guess at. Ha ha! Just kidding. I think I like it, but I feel like I might not like it for exactly these reasons: characters break into song; said songs frequently could be described as 'folk-ish'(but certainly not always); hipsters; said hipsters seem to live in/hang out in the self-same Williamsburg and LES neighborhoods I have also lived in/hung out in; the main characters are from New Zealand and talk funny.
More importantly, look at it, and decide if you would derive pleasure from looking at more of it.
